what can you all tell me about this stove. Looked at one today. Hadn't run in over a year. Plugged it in and board lights up. Combustion blower runs but noticed auger not feeding. Could see auger bushing was spinning but no pellets fed. Set screw or maybe jammed? It's got a hopper full of pellets that have been sitting in it for quiet a while. No door handle but looks like some kind of an Allen key would open and close. Also noticed it has s huge ash bin for a small stove. No latch of any kind to secure ash bin tight?

Looks like there is a latch door tool, which looks like a bent screwdriver of sorts. Also looks like a standard auger motor on that unit and would also guess a loose set screw an it somewhere. I would maybe double check for correct rotation on the auger motor too.

Same as lopi pioneer.Handle is not attached.Has standard collar with bolt to attach auger motor.I seem to remember them having auger and bushing problems, damages motor internally, but Don has good replacement motor, and whole auger assembly used to be cheap.

Travis Ind./House of Fire makes a good, solid stove. Had an Astoria and never had one problem.

Best place to get auger motors:

Pellet and Corn Stove Auger Drive Motors

But as been said, could simply be a loose set screw, or even pellet jam under all the old pellets in the hopper. Stove is pretty simple, so I can't imagine have to do much to get it up & running........as long as the price is right. Any idea what year it was made?

It's 2008. Free:thumbs: Anyone know about the ash pan. Didn't see any way to lock it in place. Looks like it just sits there

Don't think ash pan needs to seal,as there is a slide plate under burn pot you use to manually dump/clean the pot.

If it's free it's for me. Picked this up today. Hit it with vac real quick and checked the set screw which was indeed loose and I had a fire going in short time. I'm amazed at how quiet this stove runs. The body of the stove needs a good cleaning and probably a paint job. It needs a new door gasket and door handle and an exhaust stub so I can connect to venting anyone know where I can get these. Also an owners manual and service manual

Today we did some cleaning and sanding and wiped the stove down with denatured alcohol. Went shopping for paint, door gasket and door handle and have a new exhaust adapter on order. Stove has 1st coat of paint and will get 2nd tonight
