    Got a buddy that cuts some wood for me just for something to do.
    He called the other day and said he had some wood for me, this is what I picked up,

    I would take him aside quietly first and explain to him (and use the words please and thank you) to not only wash the truck but to also stack the load of firewood in the back of the truck to make it worth your while to take the wood off his hands while giving him something to do.

    If that doesn't work, un-friend him on FB!
