So, cedar sawdust and wax. Wax seems unscented, but possibly dyed red? Any reason you went with cedar other than it's strengths as a kindling wood?

The natural oils keep its shelf life indefinate and the aroma. The Cedar name is also a plus!

Came home from plowing and found my samples on the table! Unfortunately my wife already had the stove roaring so i'll have to wait till tomorrow to use them. Well i guess it aint a bad thing that she had the stove going :D

    Thanks Thomas!

I got a sample last year I think ? They work great but I usually use my pine lighter wood I have. That I have an infinite supply of. It lights with a match so its easy.

I also dont think I have started a fire with a match since a few weeks prior to christmas . I have had a steady fire going since then so no need to use anything as a starter.

But some FHC ones would be cool ! I just would have a lifetime supply if I bought 36 and I break them in thirds at least.

I've been using more of them recently. I got a corn stove hooked up but only run it during the day to heat up the side of the house opposite the wood stove. So I use a little piece of super cedar each morning. Perfect for that.

    Dennis,
Thanks for the welcome. The stove was a miss on kickstarter but we made them anyway. I have about 150 out of the original 200 from the first run. We will be adding to our website in the next couple weeks I hope. The girls are working on the new store when they get the time. Thanks again for all your support! This is the stove with a Super Cedar fuel disk burning in my avatar. It pulls the oxygen in from the bottom and condenses it out the top.

Thanks Thomas...great product you have to offer. I got a sample last year and was hooked. Ordered the 32 count last year and they are about gone so will be opening the 72 count I bought this fall. New stove this year and have not used a piece of news paper yet this year.

The best way to get the lowest price on this 8 oz aluminum cast stove with storage bag is to purchase with our 100 ct case. We can then tuck it in at no additional shipping. The stove is $25.00 this way. Will have to follow up with the price if shipped alone with 3 disks and storage sack, but I recall $45 including shipping. Our toll free number is 866 HOT FYRE. Here is the original link to see the video of stove boiling water. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hotfyrestove/hot-fyre-aluminum-stove

The stove will boil a soup can size of water in under 5 minutes with 1/4 disk. Great for hunting, hiking, survival/ emergency preparedness kits, and snowmobiles a must to mention a few uses.

The stove looks like it would be good for ice fishing, for perking a pot o' coffee and heating soup. Very packable and no fuel to spill.

Yeah, I read the entire website like a manual before I did the video. Wanted to make sure I was giving the product a fair shake.
