    The backplate on my Castine cracked. I found a few places online that sell replacements. Any experience with online sellers and Jotul parts?

    Maybe call your local Jotul dealer and price online?

    Looks to be about $90. Shipping or mark up may be the cost difference.

    Welding certainly is an option.

    This will be the 7th year with the stove. Kind of surprised it cracked like that. It's at our weekend house and we do light a fire in a cold stove when we arrive up for the weekend. Temps in the lower level can be about 45-50 when we arrive. Maybe that stressed the metal.
