I bet permanent nipple rings might work better?

Just spend near double on the wifeys sneakers.

Been looking at the tire places. My tires for the new buggie are $850 plus M&B.:loco:

I might go the same route I did with the Fusion and go with smaller snows? The 4 16" tires are only $466. Add 4 rims and 4 TPMS sensors its just over the $850($1000 with everything including M&B!). But next time around I'll only need to spend around $500 or so.........

Kitty's a bit drained, So I won't be getting them until after the Holidays. Prayin it no sn*w!!

Yes, it is indeed bittersweet. It is a bit of his freedom taken away and knowing that it won't come back is disheartening. I sold my truck last a few weeks back. Didn't use it because I no longer can get in and out of it without climbing up on something first. Also, my vision is failing. Can't read with the right eye due to macular degeneration. Once it goes to the other eye, I am off the road also. I hope some one calls your dad up and says, "get your pants on, we are going for a ride". Hard to ask for favors but easy to accept when someone calls and tells him he is going. Darn strokes are knocking a lot of my friends down.

I might be changing out my tires. I usually go to Sam's Club and have them do it. But now I think I might shop around. Here in Maine, just having barely legal tires won't get you through the winter. That will get you off the road with one mishap or another. I bet driving defense when it is snowing, is not to drive at all! After all, why should I? I know if I go off the road etc. all I can do is call someone. Not physically able to do anything about getting out of being stuck. I ran snow tires one year, but they are noisy. Prefer a good aggressive all season tread. My son and his wife live here also, They both have 4 wheel drive.

Stove deep clean is 75% done. Need to rest a bit then just reassemble. Not perfect but it is good enough. I have black on my ash pan door and the motor cover plates. Looks like creosote? I will download some pics this evening.

Also I don't remember why I bought the 3-in-1 oil or where it goes. I'll go search for those posts.

If you haven't been burning lately and have had humidity it can look black. If so, I wouldnt worry about it unless it comes back again.

wildwest you should have seen the wet black chit that came out the last 2 feet of my exhaust pipe last weekend. Black, wet and nasty as all heck, especially with a lint eater attached to a drill.

Its capped but the stainless piping comes out of the side of the house on the shady side so it doesn't get direct sun. During the summer the hot days and cooler nights cause condensation inside the pipe-when I uncap it it's always wet.

I should have waited until a few burns before I cleaned the pipe so it was dried out again.

As much as I can. Usually burn a vacation or personal day. But sometimes it comes when I'm already out or can't miss a day.

All seasons are good, But nothing beats the ice rated tires when you live in the hills and mornings are started before the town crews can get out and sand. Whether its sliding down them or slipping back up. I've grown to like the tires with a high silica content.

True-I use to leave for work at 5am to drive 1.5 hours to Salem NH. Rte 28 out of Alton is a royal PITA and the Blizzaks did great in all weather. But once I went to a Subaru wagon with full time all wheel drive and a standard tranny, I did just fine with good all season tires.

Overall though, snow/ice tires will always be better.
