This one is made from tupelo. It is a very fine, almost no discernible grain. Very sharp tools are needed. Basswood is nice, but can be fuzzy when using power tools. Too bad about the guy leaving you hanging.

Too bad you can put them on display somewhere but still keep them. I bet a lot of other people would love to see them! You've done a great job!

The local library has cases where artist can display work. I think the local art association does something similar.

She is earning her keep again. Good thing it's a 3/4 Ton.

116 8x8x16 blocks, and 16 heavy duty pallets returned. Should be about $400 back.

I did one of those silly projects that should take an hour and ended up talking half the day.

You guys (and gals) have all seen them, those geodesic dome metal monkey bars everyone has in their backyard for kids to play on, well we have one too, but the kids had gotten used to its height, and they have grown. So me and Wallenstein took to the woods, cut a few posts, then swapped the grapple out on Wallenstein for the post hole drill and bored a few holes into the ground. In the end the silly thing is 30 inches higher then it was, and my daughters (4) think its the greatest thing ever. Of course the way they grow I'll be putting 8 foot posts under it next year!

It's actually turned into a running joke between us.
She basically polled her co-workers and I'm winning 70/30. Some of the spouses even chimed in on her FB page. So we're laughing about it. I'll get the dent fixed and all is good.

The little red truck that could found out it couldn't! :headbang:

The oil pump went out and I'd rather use my friends lift to work on it so I am hauling it to ametur cutters place to throw it on the lift
