    Beautiful house! Picking apples and cider is a fall "must go do" around here I'm hearing. Something we gotta go do soon! Those cider doughnuts sound amazing!

    Yes, it has been restored quite a bit over the years. It has had masonry work done too. Original handmade bricks on the exterior. Major framing beams are original.

    More reconstruction going on. This time it is on the two story porches. What was an open screened in area will be enclosed with insulated windows and doors. The lower level will have the sloping ceiling removed as it is no longer needed with the upper level now being enclosed. Bought windows yesterday for the lower porch. Bought two doors for it today. The lower porch will be extended out two feet and be even with the size of the upper porch. I will have the lower level fully insulated so I can pop a little heat in it when I want, It will be nice to have another area to escape to. Old lower porch was storm windows and storm door. porch do over.jpg

    Very little rain last night/early morning. Worked another long one and now relaxing after eating Taco soup my wife made for dinner. Tasty. Looks like possible rain overnight. Hoping it passes us by here so I can do dirt work tomorrow.
