Sounds great. I think we are going firewood cutting tomorrow, watch a little baseball and then football.

Its going to be another fabulous fall weather day...Sitting here on the front porch listening to the crickets enjoy the last few minutes of morning quietness... Got back from Mom and Dads yesterday afternoon. I got some good home cooked meals while I was there, so that was good... Havent' had pan fried chicken, mashed tators and gravy for quite some time. Dads making it around better each and everyday. So hopefully by Tuesday we will know more or less what everything was.

Well, a wet dreary day here in the 50's. Looks like a little work in the garage this a.m. and then a NFL afternoon. But first, here come the eggs and bacon..............Good day to all, stay safe.

For years my wife always said we don't spend enough time together, since I broke my elbow and I can't drive I think she's had enough. Now she's probably thinking it's better to miss me than to spend all this time with me.

Just some trail work today and then check the property. It would be nice if we received more rain.

We finally had a month in September, where we ended up ahead of average. Now, I still think we are below average for the year by a few inches, but it's rained all weekend. Not heavy rain, but constant. It's hard to get work done outside, stacking wood, mowing the lawn,. Etc when it rains all weekend.

On Friday we were told by all the guessers that Sunday would clear or and be dry. Figured I'd more before the noon NFL games, and make time during the games to get my trailer load of beech stacked that I hauled over yesterday.

Last night the guessers said it would rain all day Sunday too.

Yeah. The lawn's not getting mowed today. Which means I have to do it during the week, with daylight hours slipping away. It might take me 2 days, but it has to get done.

Today is a visit/shop local day. We took a tour of an early brick garrison house in our city that was built in 1697. All handmade brick and massive hand hewn beams. It was inspirational to see the hard work and craftsmanship put in to the house.

We stopped at a local farm for fresh apples and scouted for crabapples. All the crabapples trees are bare from the drought.

Last stop was at a small garden center for pumpkins and cider donuts.
