I use the Humboldt on all trees I cut. Easier for me to do it on all of them. A nice deep face is better for control and keeping the hinge from breaking too soon.
Got 5-6" on Sunday. Freezing rain/sleet now. 3 more inches snow tonight. More on Friday. We have finally had some decent snow this winter.
25 years ago, we would get at least one snow a years of 8-16", plus ~3 snows of 3-6". In the last 10 yrs, we usually only get one 3-5" snow. These totals are pretty specific of my area, Ozark "Mountains". I work 45 miles to the south (1300ft less elevation) and there is considerably less snow there.
