Got a couple hours of moving dirt in late this afternoon. Slow but sure. Back/low side of barn towards pasture needs a lot of fill to bring grade to a gradual slope.

Then we all went to my parents for dinner. Great to see them. My 82 y.o. mother made home made Lasagna for us. Always great. Tossed salad and fresh Italian bread to go with.

I'm feeling pretty good right now.

[IMG] Little tired, but I'm good.

I can't work or drive for another 3 weeks, then I go back to the dr for an X-ray. Hope fully she'll at least let me drive then and let me know when I can go back to work. I don't have much pain.
    Thank you for asking!

glad to hear that. I could not imagine not being able to drive. I'm hoping for a speedy recovery for you. As far as work goes, I have 3 weeks of vacation on hand at all times. Just in case of an emergency. The company I work for doesn't like I keep rolling it over, but it is a safety net for my family since I carry the insurance on the 4 of us.

Whats up with the road kill here this time of year? 18 miles from my house to the edge of town, 5 skunks, 2 antelope (one unfortunately got it again after dead in the tall hay on the side of the road when a tractor mower went over it), 2 coons, a momma and baby. This is all ontop of the usual numerous rabbits and prairie dogs. ?

Not sure yet. I finished a wood box earlier today and moved onto carving a woodpecker. I should have it done in a few days.

I went lurking in Smokehouse to see if you had time to cook anything awesome in the WFO. I guess I will have to save up the drool for another time.

Not this weekend. Wind is northeast off the ocean, heavy drizzle, so it was raw and around 50 degrees. I made a nice fire and spent most of the day in the shop. I did make some soup for lunch.

Tomorrow will be chicken stock day. I have several carcasses to put to use.
