The sounds auger motors make - good sound vs noisy sounds

    That 2nd one would have driven me crazy long before it got to that point.
    The higher frequency really quiet ticking/crinkling sound of the 3rd one, more audible when you picked it up, is what mine sounds like.
    Thanks for the video. I'm very happy with the combustion motor upgrade kit i got from you last year.

    I need to look up what my Enerzone takes. One of mine seems to be on the fritz!

    This is actually a pretty good video......but I would warn folks that these motors sound different under a load. Its a better video of how to test a feed motor, actually. I wish I had a dime for every "bad" feed motor that someone brought in, when it was really a vac switch issue (blockage, etc)

    Agree, it is very hard to tell if the auger motor is bad. That is why I recorded the sound of auger motors that I actually replaced and the sounds they made can be a good indication. There are machines that measure torque output for small motors like a dynamometer used for auto performance but these machines are very expensive,
    So any other indications like the sounds they make might be a much less expensive way to diagnose a problem.
