I was surprised with Arnolds passing. He just did some commercial for something not too far back. I thought he looked pretty ok.

Woo Hoo, got my last cord of maple stacked under cover just as the rain started. All 13 cords present and accounted for in the shed, snug and dry. Bring on winter........LOL.

Worked half the day, went to an appointment, then worked on some backfilling. Hoping we don't get much rain. We need it, but I don't want it right now. It halts the process of dirt work when this clay gets wet.

My good neighbor helped me out again by bringing his torches down with his Gehl skid steer. He cut off each piece of rebar I had placed in the blocks I wanted strengthened. I filled them with some left over mortar and ran a piece of 1/2" rebar down through them. After that I was able to get filled over the blocks at both main doors on each end and started bringing fill into the barn. If I can get two more days in of filling/leveling I should be in good shape.

Time is flying by and I'm getting too close to building start time. We are down to 12 days.

Well I started training today for GEA farm service in field installs and repairs on dairy farms. This is one interesting job. Pretty much anything a dairy farm needs we install and repair.

I got to walk through manure for the first time in days! :lol:It will be good to be on the service end rather than hauling milk tankers. I like to haul tankers but my brain needs more to keep me sane. Tankers can be fun but I like to work with my hands.....

Today I also purchased what is generally referred to as a yard faucet. This little do-hickey shuts the water off 4 feet below the ground when you close it. I will plumb up the 1" water line to the bottom of it with the 90 degree fitting the plumbing supply place sold me to go with it. That will be nice to have done. Maybe Wednesday I can get that done. Along with a sump hole inside the barn.

Pete, do you get to bring home some manure for the garden other than what is on your hands and shoes? Nice to have a few side benefits.
