Windy day here today with sprinkles of rain and some blue sky spots. After the Jays' game, we are taking a TV over to Mom's. I have got cinnamon raisin bread on the go as well. Hope it gets finished before we leave.

    That looks great!

My crabapple didn't do squat this year for the very same reasons your source is dry. Heck, half the tree is bare of leaves so I'm not even sure it will survive the winter. It is an old one, so it has probably seen worse - will find out next year if I need to replace it or it is one tough mother.

Replaced a ceiling fan / light unit in my kitchen. The old one died - first the fan refused to work, then the lights no longer lit. As usual, on any project, at least one issue during the install - see if you can tell what it was in the pictures :headbang:.

A couple of years ago we had a really bad drought, and our crabapple lost its leaves way early. It came back no issue. Hopefully yours does the same.

Worked a few hours inside this morning. Then a little after noon I went out and mixed 16 bags of Mortar by hand, two at a time in the wheelbarrow. Filled the blocks in where the two big barn doors will be. And placed rebar in most of them. Now when I back fill on both sides and start driving through there I won't have to worry about breaking the block wall as much. I'll still compact a little at a time on each side until I get up to the top though. Now having a cold can of Pepsi. Time to get to work doing some backfilling with the 210C.

Whirlwind weekend for this guy. 50th birthday party for a HS buddy of mine on friday night. Saturday was my best friends daughters wedding in Keene NH and this morning was picking of the apples at an orchard in Stow MA. Holy smokes, time for a break.

Since Ive been home I was able to clean the chimney, glad thats done. What awesome weather we are having, cool and dry.

Finished the floor at the workshop, hauled in an old counter that I will be putting some hardwood flooring for the counter top on. Installed a cabinet that came out of an old Standard gas station. Hooked up the old stereo form the Navy days. Got some curtains that 99 volunteered to trim/hem to length. Hooked up the 30 and gave it a little burn this morning. Also finished trimming out the ceiling/walls.

schlot , the contacts should come back though Google. That is unless Samsung's modified OS doesn't allow that.

I got my weed whacker out, and got the lawn trim done after the Packers game, and before it started to rain.

We were supposed to have up to 60 mph wind gusts with the front, but we maybe had half that. I had to batten down the hatches and move the hibiscus, and other things that could get blown over.

    I'm sure you've seen hibiscus.

    meaning-hibiscus-flowers_600335cd0a95b1.jpg

Pretty much all garden centers have it. It's a tropical to sub tropical plant.
