Well, she got more paint again today. Tomorrow will be the finish coats! Then more pics. I hope to bring here home this weekend and get her back into place. My new fire brick is here, new handles, and pipe is on the way!

Grandma is going to look like a young lady. Reminds me of when I was a young boy I remember my Mom telling me the pastor at the church thought women shouldn't wear makeup and such and another old pastor that didn't see things quite the same told him "Any old barn looks better with a little paint"

Grandma got final coats of paint today, she had two complete coats! Sadly, I forgot to bring the camera today, but Mr. UPS man brought me all my new "stainless steel" inside pipe :ups::banana:... So were getting closer.
I now have everything for installation, "which if all goes ok" will happen this weekend. :)

Grandma made it back to the homestead today! :) Two coats of paint on all sides and three on top. Her skin was/is rough but she is ready for another 50 years I hope. Yes, you can see the pits through the new paint and I sanded and wired till I was blue! It was basically down to mill raw metal, but it is what it is, I wasn't able to sand blast or I may have but it's the best I had available. Next task is to get her in the house, piped and new firebrick in . I gotta burn it off and so I'll do that once it's all connected, lucky it's warm and I'll have every fan going and window open

Well everyone, here is the finished product; All but the last piece of pipe I gotta put in and it's supper time and I'm whoooooped, I'm calling it a night! I'm very happy with the results :). Her steel was used and abused for 35 years but she doesn't look all that bad considering. All the firebrick is new, pipe, paint, spring handles, and even the hinge pin's . I put her new/old baffle back in I built back in last year, it worked real well, it got a little rusty sitting out for the last few weeks. Lot's of work on her but I wouldn't trade this old girl for anything. :tears: I think this thread gave a step by step method for others to follow if needed but it's all about patience. :) Enjoy everyone, I'm glad I was able to share this with everybody! It's what it's all about here! :) I'm sure she will give me and my family "many" more years of warmth and faithful service, "after all... It is a Fisher" ;)
