Right now I could not even think about a fire. Tennessee is still in the summer heat with highs in the low to mid 90's with afternoon showers. I am anxiously waiting for the cool down though!

    Started another fire,
    a rainy 55° day

Didn't follow the guys "wood burning stoves" tips for how to burn
Stuffed it full of wood, placed some birch bark in the front, got it burning
dry birch lit off just fine.
closed the bypass when it got hot. Done

Weve been burning for awhile here as well. The next two days are supposed to rain with highs of 50f so you know the stove will be on! Weve been getting frost on and off when it clears out for the night. Sure is nice to feel some crisp air!

We had 91 in Myrtle Beach yesterday and my Mother in law that is house sitting had the air on, 85 back home. Late October is generally the first evening fire, when my boys were in high school the last football game I would always start a fire in the stove before we left for the game and man did it feel good after the game.
