My hair just stood up! I know them both,,, his runway is about a 5 minute car ride from me... He stopped building PPG's due to needing a Light Sport Aircraft rating to fly a 2 seater... Many people sold their machines... Wow a small world for sure... How do you know the Viscio's? He has his own plane now and also has his instrument rating as well... He told me once I get flying here , I'm going to enjoy some of the nicest flying and scenery around. We have a really cool valley to fly down that will just be dream like...

    Charlie,

Met Nick and Marie back in 1998. They were the hardest working and smartest small manufacturer of PPCs in the country. They never had the slightest desire to be the biggest, just the best in that small world of aviation. Say Hi to em if you see them. A friend and I started a flight school for fixed-wing and powered parachutes in Maine called SkySail. We used Blue Herons in our school. Nice machines. It all came to an end with so many other aviation biz after the 9/11 attack in NY. I was always so impressed that Nick and Marie stayed at it for so long after, with all of the impending FAA Sport Pilot regs coming. Most of us knew those regs would be the end of PPCs as we had known them. A few have stayed in but most have gone back to single seat FAR 103 regs. Don't blame them.

Take care and have a ball up there! Be safe!
