I know that is true, but I just don't want to recognize that! Good that you are getting ready. Never know what awaits us tomorrow.
When does Shoulder season normally start there ? You working the early morning shift to stay cool ? I see 80s in the forecast
No backup heat source here. It's been close to 40 years now since we had anything except the wood stove. Even before that, we never used the furnace and that is why I sold it. We have once or maybe twice been gone during winter and set a Pelonis heater by water pipes just in case. When we got home if I remember right the house temperature was around 60. Outdoor temperature I think was between 15-20.
Usually late September here. We were forecast to hit 80 today but didn't get there. Good! I'm hoping this will be the last day for that type of temperature. The good thing is now it is usually after noon before it warms up much so all morning is usually nice.
I try not to fire off Grandma till Halloween, but some times it's earlier. I've had a tradition of having a fire going for the trick or treaters, kinda "spooky" for them!
Dennis, I hope and pray I have your energy when I grow up like you! I do have a "red" milk crate now though!!! I'm in the club!
It is nice to get some on the porch, ah, Dennis, :stacke: I have one rack on the back porch filled with oddball splits and kindling, won't be long now
