My HD had AWF and Stove Chow. I grabbed 25 AWF to add to my boxstore stack. Another 25 more should ice the seasons tally. I hope!

I'm digging these AWF pellets. The are very short and the old Quad is eating them up and producing great heat. I'd probably put them about on par with Somersets, but I think it's due to the short length. I probably burned more AWFs in the same amount of time without changing anything. I'll close the feed gate on these some. Ash seems about the same to me. Nothing scientific but I'd buy them by the ton without hesitation.

I have heard rumors that some are saying AWF are causing clinkers. One stove was a MT Vernon AE. I have a mixer so I don't see them in my beast.

Has anyone else seen clinkers in their batches?

I only burned two bags but didn't have any....they were the bright colored "Premium" bags....the newest ones I just bought are more dull in color but haven't burned any yet. I read to about clinkers.

None noted in my short use of them, 5 bags. I have a few more, but haven't carted them in yet.

Even though this batch is a little longer(nothing out of spec) and not as much heat. They are still doing very well in this cold weather. Stove has idled all day(since the AM recovery) house is a comfy 74°F. No complaints from me and no sign of clinkers either.

Whats a clinker anyway. I seem to forget!:D
