My bride and I took down a plum tree for her dad. It was split and had started to rot.

    Just after I started cutting.

After. Dug around the stump and cut it out for him.

Not a big haul, especially since some is pretty bad and will just end up in the fire pit, but every split counts :)

The neighbor across the alley has a kick butt custom grill that his son built for him.

I talked to him some time ago about it. He said he had been offered $1500 for it that obviously he turned down.

    Thanks.

It's pretty cool to see the smoke roll out of the barrel when he uses it.

Nice work. You wouldn't know a tree was even there. Very nice grill your neighbour has. His son is very talented.

Love that grill! I'd be grillin' breakfast, lunch, AND dinner if I had a grill like that.

Nice little plum haul. Has to be good as smokin' wood. I'd hate to be the neighbor that grill gets pointed at while using it.

    I've used plum a couple times,just a few small pieces.In the rose family,related to apple,cherry,pear,peach,almond etc.

Similar to black cherry in flavor what I remember, density roughly between cherry & apple.
