    If it's far from the house, leave it. That thing is a lightning rod like PapaDave said. The house should be safe from any strikes. :D

    I remember the guy on shark week, "They say you're more likely to get hit by lightening than attacked by a shark, I've had both."

    It on the far edge of property away from structures. I will leave it till i need more wood to process.
    Its an oak. Burr? Pin? Black? Rock? Wish i knew the difference.
