Curious as to what he thinks of the GMCs. Probably not going to wow him in the power department unless he drives a 6.2L Denali.....

Never made it to GM, got side tracked. Next few days I'll get there. That's exactly what I'm looking for, a 1 year old lease return with less than 20k on it. Save $10 or $20k. ;)

No need for power, as long as it moves ok when I step on the gas I'm fine. I don't tow anything... So far the best pickup has been in the Ecodiesel, by far the best off the line over the fords. ;)

Guy I work with sometimes has a 650 with the Cat and a manual transmission with a aluminum bed with his welder and all.

If you can get components from Eaton then sure. It's good stuff. Eaton in general sucks as far as promised dates and expedition.

This is from me working at an Eaton distribution shop.

You will want a 3/4 or 1 ton to plow with. A half ton will be fine if you're only doing your own driveway and some of your friends', but if you're going to make some money with it a 1/2 ton isn't going to hold up as well. Plowing is hard on trucks, so you'll want the stronger frame, suspension, and drivetrain of a 3/4 or 1 ton.

Honestly, I'd pick up an old beater to plow with. Not only because of the abuse they take carrying and pushing a plow, but expect to see rust show up much quicker as well. I wouldn't do that to a new truck unless I was getting a business tax deduction out of it.

Back in the day like in what 98 or so there was a LD 2500 f250 with independent front. It was the older round body style of that era. The year it was availible may be wrong?

Thanks. Yea, I had a few "locals" tell me the same. I'll ditch the idea of plowing with this truck... maybe get a beater for that later if I go that route...

Yeah, that knob takes some getting used to! But Mr Barcroftb knows that the Dodge has storage for days. Literally everywhere. Coolers in the back floor boards, then there is to compartments under the back seats when they are folded down (I just found those a couple weeks ago), two glove boxes, a center console with 2 different levels, and pockets, holes galore!

You know me to well!! ;) lol

My neighbor bought a new F-150 and it has a snow plow prep package on it.

Yea those floor board coolers are cool. I use one for a toolbox. Those compartments under the seat are cool. Lots of storage everywhere like you said. . A big pull out compartment on the dash and little compartments in the center at the seat base on the trans hump and the huge center console. Way more than the Colorado I got rid of.
