The mason and his helpers got a nice jump on the barn's block wall foundation today. It was cool to see the truck come with the block and grout. The driver/operator has a remote control for the crane/boom material handler. Is that ever a nice piece of equipment. I wouldn't want the monthly bill for it though!

Those controls are pretty cool. We make a lot of that stuff at my work.

I've met many masons in my field over the years and they have handshakes of iron.

I met one that would pick up a cement block in his left hand, butter it up with his trowel in the right hand and lay it up one handed. Truly impressive.

They took off the cast so it's been painful without anything holding it in place. They won't keep a cast on an elbow because it won't bend when they take it off. I can't do anything so I get bored. I'm just glad it wasn't worse, thanks for asking.

First day off for a long weekend. Slep in which meant I got off the coudh at 4:30 this morning instead of 3:30. Parents should be in town from KS (they called last night and they were stuck in MA), and I'm waiting for them to call and say they are up.

Currently drying a load of laundry that I washed earlier. Once laundry is dry and hung (in a couple of minutes) shower time then put in my eyeballs (contacts) and start the day.

I'm putting this post in here too. THE DOG GOT SKUNKED.

The dog killed a skunk on the lawn this morning. Any suggestions how to get the stink off?

Coffee intake. Just saw on the news Colin Kaepernick is still being un-American and now has 2 others who joined him.
Screw him and the NFL for allowing that type of "protest". They ban everything else, and let this slide? Whiskey tango foxtrot?

Go to the store, they make lots of products for this now...I can't say if one works better than another, but I hear many (most) work better than the old time tomato juice bath

I tried using the one some chemist came up with. Hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dishwashing liquid. It helped, but I'm stuck out on the deck with him having my coffee, and he ain't too rosey smellin. The wife is not happy.
Gonna try the bath once more.

I used a product sold at a local Agway a few years back. I don't think it was this exact one, but it worked fairly well. After you get them cleaned and smelling nice you and wife will be happy campers. And then when the dog gets wet again, which they will do, you may smell the remnants again and have to treat them again.:picard: You won't want to let them on any furniture anytime soon. :hair: (If they are normally allowed to do that.) Best of luck to you.

His right to "protest" is about as American as it gets, you may not like it and your right to say so is likewise.

I have an Agway about 10 minutes from here. Going to give that a try as they are the only ones open at this hour. Thanks for the tip. Funny thing is that they are allowed on the furniture, but as soon as the wife said get off, he did. He's on the floor at my feet. The real bad part is that he sleeps in the bed at the foot. That ain't gonna go over too well.:picard:

You're right. I certainly don't like it, but if I stopped it, the constitution wouldn't mean anything to me. Our freedoms are to precious to let this little thing really bother me.
