New pellet sightings.......... Newbies for 2016

    New thread to share what you might have seen for new stuff and others that might have made it to your region.

    I have a few I would like to get a hold of to sample. 802's and Blue Ridge certainly look interesting. The New Northern Warmth's(all 3 varieties) should be available shortly. Never did get to sample Blackstone or its sister brand.

    What else have you all seen for new stuff?

    While not exactly new, I am starting to see Eagle Valley pop up around here again this season. Hadn't seen them offered around here since 2010, I think. I am seeing them at places that used to sell North Country for the past few seasons, it seems at least for now they may be replacing North Country in the lineup at some shops? I'm planning to pick up a few bags over at Long Pond sometime in the next few weeks so I have some on hand to test and see if they are the same Eagle Valleys of old.

    I haven't seen them in a long while. So I'd consider those new if they show in my area. Besides the Okies and LaCrete's not many softies seem to hit over here. It be hardwood land for the most part. Well most are actually blends....... ;)

    I wonder if the North Country mill is having issues(or had)? BT had them as N/A for a good portion of last season.

    Bt has them again too. So it may have just been a sputter last season that is fixed now? Just bumblin trying to figure out why tt's not seeing them. Prolly just the dealers decided to make the switch to EV's stuff?

    My pellet house shows the 802's on the spring sale flyer. If I get anything from Dave I am going to ask him to throw a few bags of these in to try out. In all reality, they are priced out of my comfort zone.

    Tells me everything I need to know. Won't go out of my way to try to find them if they are priced like that. Doesn't mean I won't grab a bag or 2 if I stumble over them (I may or may not, depending on my purse strings at the time), but I won't go chasing them.

    Same here, I generally dont go out of the way for pricey stuff. If I can stumble on some cheap or come across some in my travels to try a bag then so be it.

    My parents used to own a store in the Old Towne Mall in New Castle many years ago... And a year or two ago the company I work for designed the building and foundations for a new Forge Press at North American Forgemasters across the street from the mall.
