    Just home from shutdown...Well I know what I'm doing for part of the weekend now... With all this wonderful rain that we have received in the last 36 hours ... (Been pretty dry here lately).... Gots to dry thy Ol' basement back out.

    Good morning :coffee: .... Coffee is going. Just looked at the O' Rain gauge... Almost 5" yesterday make it a bit over 6" since Thursday...

    Overcast and spitting out a little. The dogs and I took bottles back to get redeemed. A client called and asked me if I could stop out to a job site, so the pups are going with me. After all, I need my posse with me on the weekend. :)

    Rain this am, and I think it rained a bit from midnight on.

    We could use it. It's supposed to dry out by noon.

    My wife and I have been married for 5 years today. The gift for the 5 year anniversary is WOOD!


    We're going to Wisconsin Dells to stay at a nice hotel, through Monday. Dinner reservations for Sunday, evening boat ride with dinner tonight, and the water park on Monday.

    Weather appears to cooperate according to "those guys".


    Dog's are going to doggy camp. Day camp, spa, play areas, all that good stuff. They probably won't even miss us.

    Ugg. If it wasn't our anniversary today, I'd be knee deep in that crap too. My board on my furnace smoked, and I've had to Macgyver the AC to work. The AC seems to be ok, just may have to wire it up differently to get it to go back on.
    The board? Well it's $250, but should be easy to replace once i give in and buy it.

    We're off to a hotel and the dogs are going to the dog spa for the weekend. Problem averted for the weekend.

    Hopefully you get that HVAC system back up and running . I'm pulling for you!

    Making bacon in the oven. A friend says this way is the best. Put a raised cooling rack on top of a baking sheet. That way bacon stays out of the grease and house doesn't smell like bacon grease for days.

    That's the only way we make bacon now. Freshly cracked black pepper, and brown sugar topping makes it extra special.
