of this winter's firewood. Should be about 6.5 cords in there when I'm done. The l/h side is all Oak, the r/h side is a mix of Pine, Maple, and Ash. 7 rows deep, and an average of 6.5' tall X 7.5' wide.
Haven't got a clue. Don't even remember where I got it, but I had one very much like it back a few years that kinda fell apart. Need the wide brim to keep the sun off.
Good for you Dave. I'll still wait a couple months to move wood into the barn but will put some on the porch sometime next month.
I'm with you Sir Savage-gonna move it when it's cooler into the shed, it's gets full sun in both places anyway...
So sure you've done the math papadave , what does 7 rows of those dimensions yield in the shed? What's your average burn?
Average burn is about 5 cords. The dimensions actually yield a little over 7 cords, but there's some missing from both sides I didn't tell youse guys about. Oh, and the Ash is a little short. Wait, that doesn't sound right.
Now to sit back and wait...Daring O'Mother nature to bring it on... With your stove improved and wood shed full... You Sir are ready... for those slippers now...
Managed a small load this morning before the rain started. Now I need a couple days of sun and wind before I'll move any more.
Looking good for ice and snow weather papadave ! Love pictures of wood sheds ... makes me wish I had a good location for one.
