I've been working up some ground lately and don't think I've ever seen as many toads as we've seen this year. Not sure why but for sure I let them all go. Saw both big and small ones today.

One less groundhog here.....he made the mistake this week of starting on our tomatoes. I had the bedroom door shut in the morning before work and my wife came down the hall and opened the door. What are you doing with a gun in the bedroom ? I had the window open and was whistling and just then he came out of the tomatoes, I said hold your ears.......:rootintootin:

Toads are great critters to have around. They eat tons of bugs.

For some reason I have 5 of them that have taken residence of our front porch this summer. Every night when I let the dogs in, there are those 5 toads just hanging out there with the dogs.

Toads are territorial and will stay in the same area if not threatened and the food supply holds out. We have had them stay for weeks on end in the same area.

Actually your supposed to lick them. Something about their secretions that will get you high.

Nope, I sure as heck won't be licking any, or kissing one. My luck it would turn into a larger toad!:hair:

Had a few of them around my garden, but haven't seen them lately. Just the grass snake that also lives in the garden!

It wasn't toads, but several years ago I went frog gigging at a golf course, I think between my buddies and I we bagged about 60. Being without pliers, I used my teeth to pull the skin off the legs when I was cleaning them. 2 hours later I was throwing up everything I'd eaten that day!
