Topped off one of my stacks tonight and hit the 40 cord mark. My goal is to have 60 by the end of next summer.

That stuff is going to get too dry!!:p Are you planning on selling some? Or keeping it all to yourself? I wish I could score some wood that easy! I do enjoy dropping trees though, but that requires time which is at a premium with 3 kids. I would love to have the ease of what you got going there!!

    Congratulations. Great feeling.
Now people will ask if you sell wood
I just counted up mine the other day and found to my surprise I had 54 cords.
I couldn't sell any I worked too hard for it and most of it is aged 3-6 years. Too valuable to me!!

No selling. Even though I have it easier than most I still have to much time involved.

Nice! A lot of work goes into 40 full cords of CSS wood and going for 60:dex: How many cords would you burn in a regular season?

    Very impressive!
My goal is to get on a 3 year plan. I got a new fireplace insert last year and I didn't track how much I burnt last year. So I'm stacking as much as I can trying to get ahead. Probably scrounge this winter and let my stacks dry.

I'm at 43 full cord buddy. I'm pretty much about out of room, but I have been looking at making a "bridge" over a drainage ditch that runs past my stack. If I do that, I'd have enough room for 50.

I've given away close to 15 cord this summer. Ash, maple, etc.

40 cords of wood, nice. That would put me on the 10 year plan. Shooting for 60. I salute you sir.

40 cord on my property means I'd have to park the cars on the road and have a couple less bedrooms. You done real good gettin' that much wood in. You will be warm for many a year.

I was feeling pretty well prepared with about 10 or 12 cords out back, but after reading this I don't feel that way anymore.

I burn anywhere between 6-8 cord a year depending on how the winter is.

I already wallpapered and installed a wood stove in the doghouse figuring I'll be spending a lot of time there. :emb:
