I'm from the north and east therefore don't know what it is.

I had an interesting run in with a pair of them today. We were standing by a fountain in a park and I heard a splash. At first I thought it was a rat but then I realized it was a pair of squirrels taking a dip. One got right out but the other swam around for a few minutes.

Had a nest of them above the garages I rent out. My Pest Control guy just closed off a 2 small holes they had chewed and then put a one way wire door cage over the other telling me if they had young we wanted them to get out and then he came back 6 weeks later and removed the wire caging from the side of the building.

That is a new one on me, I would never had of expected that. I think most animals instinctively swim but I would not expect to see squirrels just taking a leisurely swim.

Maybe they were drunk. Not sure where he found it but I think he did a search on Youtube for Drunk Squirrels.

We also have them here in Scotland, always knocking the wood out of the wood shed.

I've never seen a squirrel with distinct white/gray like that...

I was in Scotland a few weeks ago, absolutely loved it!

I didn't know squirrels grew that big. We have red and gray and black squirrels here but they're not that big.

Not to brag, but I'm gonna! Uncle duck and Aunt Shirley's place on the Kankakee was infested with 'em, so my big sport was "how many can you get with 1 .410 blast?" Got 6 twice!

Suppose you'd be able to tell how many you got if it was a 12G at close range? :D

More difficult with the 12 gauge. Maybe you could weigh the mess and make an estimate.
