I can say the Eagle Valley were dandy when I burned them and the Pinnacle fir was brilliant!! BM might have a nitch on em, But they were dang close. The Pinnacle Fir is what Wood pellets dot com is using in the Cleanfire DF bags. That reminds me, I must go update another thread........... Gotz to thank ttdberg for posting that PFI link. Pretty sure thats what got the big cat from out of da woods.
I'm not planning on adding any more tonnage this year. The stash is stocked to the rafters with last spring's fire sale Blazers, Lacretes, Cubex and North Country's are currently in my mix.
"Pimping"..!!!!.......I think that is a tad harsh will711....don't you think? Branson4720....Dana Transport does NOT own the Grafton/Upton RR....that is not correct.....They do own the pellet facility...that is correct.
What do you want to know?....NE didn't have a winter last year..Oil prices went in the toilet and every pellet manufacture, wholesaler, stove retailers etc had to do everything they could to make it thru with few exceptions...Some didn't make it....pretty much everything else is some version of this....what else do you want to know?
Gotta say Doug, You are resilient!! Fall off one horse and land right on another. Never skipped a beat!! Good on ya! Is IWP gonna make ya move to mass a 2 chits??
Looks like oil prices are being stubborn and staying low. Assuming this stays true, I guess all you can count on is a long harsh winter. If last year was so difficult, what do you think makes this year so different? Banking on a tough winter doesnt seem like a sound plan. Getting pellet prices low enough to compete with oil does sound like a sound plan. So far what I see at the pellet houses, very few options exist, that would turn anyone but the die hard pellet burner to pellets. Thoughts?
