Just do something with a new bike already - you going to be talking about it until winter closes in and it's too late at this rate

Good morning, foggy, 70 degrees and 2 hour delay for the schoolhouse this morning.
I might mow some grass if it ever dries out today. Or not.
Pan fishing with crickets from the canoe last evening was better than a blue valium...Got home and lit a few coleman lanterns, (I always filet under the light of old Coleman's)..it was thirsty work which required me to employ an I.P.A., a Newcastle Brown Ale, and a couple Blue Moons. I slept very well last nite!

So what's the background behind filleting by Coleman light? Brings back good memories?

The Coleman lanterns are a hobby, I collect and restore 'em,,nothing of museum quality, nostalgia, try to buy 'em another 50 years or more of bringing Sunshine to the Nite,,I can't help but wonder how many camps, fishin' shacks and old sheds some of these lanterns has lit up up in years past...the stories they could tell. I'll hang 1/2 a dozen or more, crank up some Delbert Mcclinton or Marshall Tucker, pop a cold frostie, and filet some fishes. I use 'em out around the woodshed too.
100_2184.JPG it doesn't take much to entertain myself.

Enjoying a little r & r up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We are doing a few day hikes along a a few rivers. It has been a long, hot summer at home, so to actually sit down in a nice cool valley and takes in the lush foliage was a welcome break. It really is a beautiful state and we love to stop in and visit.

We happened upon this vista on a trail that was amazing. A small river in front of us and the granite cliffs of Franconia Notch in the distance.

This is Kinsman Falls just upstream of Cascade falls. The trail was a rooty, muddy and fairly steep climb and the crowds did not venture up thus way.

The clouds rolled through off and on cover some of the peaks.
