and what that means for pellet prices and supply. Last year, the vaunted Farmer's Almanac $crewed the pooch in their winter forecast.....supposed to be cold and snowy, was, instead, warm and snow-less (hello, El Nino). This year, supposed to be a bad winter......
All I can say about the winter forecast here in New England is that we will surely know how bad its going to be by April. Which is also about the time Kevin beats feet for the island vacation
We got ripped off last year for sure.....Took the grandsons camping 12/22 - 12/24....and had to bail because it was to dad-gum hot. Went home @ 2:30 in the morning. Winter didn't start until January.........we are owed a long cold winter this year....I hope you fellas are ok with that!
I am OK with that......actually I like cold weather, and not because I sell stoves and pellets. I figure I can always dress warmer, but when its hot and humid like it is right now, a guy gets arrested for dressing down for the heat.....
Mid July we had acorns and beachnuts falling. Been looking for the wooly bears to check their coat's, But I think they already fled to Florida!!! Too freakin hot to worry just yet. But 6 tons of warmth are ready when needed....................
lol- I still havent got mine....but I know a guy who sells pellets, so, Im good.....I dont want to put them in the cellar in this heat and humidity anyhow!
We went fishin on xmas day. 70 degrees and light shirts. If the boat wasn't pickled, We would have went blastin too............ Topped it off by making the local paper.
I remember roasting some north americans when I woke up xmas eve to get the chill off In the morning , stove was off by 11am. I remember cooking seafoodn in the kitchen and it was so hot by the time we sat down to eat i had to cycle the air conditioning for 1/2 an hour
Usually, with the HOT summer we have had in NE, the winter becomes a bear. Hope so, love the cold! I have just over 3 tons on hand and will pick up a ton for shoulder work. Savin' the good stuff for when it counts. Ran successfully, a WIFI thermostat for the stove over the garage all last winter and thinking of getting one now for the house. Nice being able to control the stoves remotely from work, during the day. Also, looking at a propane conversion kit for my gasoline genny.... good second source for fuel and it runs much quieter. You can see I am already planning ahead....better pro-active than re-active.
