I always thought a woodstove would be an open invitation maybe not a new era stove, if I were cold and hungry and saw or smelled smoke I know where I would be headed.
I love my Dillon, paid for itself the first week I had it. I like being stocked, in the local state elections and other country wide scares I was able to keep shooting almost like I normally do. Usually on a nice weekend there is gunfire heard in them there hills, when there are supply issues a weekend gone by without hearing shots is common. The neighbors probably thought and still think I spend an arm and a leg to shoot.
Leupold wanted me to get rid of my the scope I had on my rifle. This one just came in this week. I guess I need to do some shooting this weekend..... Bummer....
Where I live gunshots and chain saws are everyday background noise. No body blinks an eye at gun shots. Not because of high crime. Just 2nd amendment folks doing what they do. "Live Free or Die". Folks from away, aka, other parts of the country, think we're crazy. But our motto is on every license plate in NH.
I hear gun shots throughout the day as well, but I live less than a mile as the crow flies to one of the largest gun ranges in the area. Sometimes I hear shooting well after dark. I normally don't even notice, but occasionally I'll hear something so loud that you can almost feel the percussion! It's gotta be a cannon or something that somebody takes there, I don't know what else would could do that
grandpa fishing with dynamite hey he had seven kids and 800 acre farm no tractor all horses.. old family 8mm video.. he grab a stogey a box of dynamite and blow up stumps all day went fishing with last couple of sticks.. same guy that used 30 30 to get top of Christmas tree
that is the respectable side of the family! he was in state legislature! back when they got all the work done in 2 months cause the legislature was done when sugaring began.. now they stretch into end of June
Looks like ammo prices could be going up soon...and who knows how high...due to the latest reclassification of wetted nitrocellulose. time.
Yup, feared this coming down the pike. And so, this week is my FedEx/ UPS ammo drop off week at the shop. All orders placed last week. Pick up what you can and don't knock yourself for feeling foolish. You're just being proactive.
I heard that the current administration has imposed draconion rules on the last domestic smelter in Missouri I think it was. Now lead has to be smelted overseas and shipped back raising the cost of bullets.
It's not quite panic time yet folks. Ammo companies are exempt from that bs as seen in the above batfe document released yesterday. It does however show you how fast things can change.
I agree. I've heard for a long time that it won't be the guns...it'll be the ammo that "they" go after. Prime example is the m855 debacle last year. Overnight that stuff hit $1 per round. It eventually failed, but it shows their intent.
That was almost comical to watch. I've never considered the M855 round to be decent for much of anything, but at first word that it might be banned EVERYONE suddenly had to buy some. I mean, the ban was entirely stupid. But buying turds just because you think turds might be banned is also kind of silly.
