Got my M.R.I. results back, Right rotator cuff is torn. It is the supraspinatus, complete tear. Talked to surgeon last week and get cut on 8/16. I will finish stuffing the winter storage shed in the next day or 2 before getting cut. My left shoulder was worse when I had it repaired in 2008 so I hope this is only an 8 week ordeal!

Man that is a bummer. Events like this are why a 3 year plan is so important.

Good luck with the surgery. +1 on the importance of the 3 year plan.

Bummer. Take care and don't make anything worse by overdoing it.

I feel your pain buddy. I had a scholarship to pitch for a D2 school going into my senior baseball season back in high school. 3rd game of the season I tore my rotator cuff (complete tear) my baseball career ended before it started, and I was in more pain than I can even begin to tell you. I then had to have reconstruction surgery on my right shoulder and they replaced my torn parts with some dead guys.:loco:  It was a long road to recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with you, my friend. Good luck and don't over do it!

Hope your recovery goes well for you. It is great being on the 3 year plan. Makes it easier to deal with setbacks like this. I am still healing from carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and I love having 3 years of wood put up.

My left shoulder had 2 tears and the bicep was 45% pulled off the bone. I was back to work in 8 weeks, light duty but I was back. It took about 9 months to feel 100% again. This one I didn't let it go as long before getting it fixed. I figure unless the M.R.I. missed some stuff, I should be back at it in 4 months or so. Might be wishful thinking. I fully plan to be ice fishing in January though!

My wife had hers done in January. Still hurts. Hasn't been able to work. Got an MRI last week and they found a partial tear in the bicep tendon. She ain't going under the knife again. Looks like she'll have to retire.

    Good luck with the surgery.

Thanks for the well wishes. Getting old is not for sissies! LOL. Hopefully this is just a small side trip. I have good insurance, I get 12 weeks full pay for medical leave so there will be no rush. Last time in 2008 I had more damage and it took 8 weeks to get back to work so I hope this is a tad shorter, but I won't push it. I can still stack wood with the other arm, just a tad slower, LOL.
