Except I store wood, not nuts.

This is some Live Oak I scarfed off a FREE WOOD post on craigslist. My nephew (36 yrs old) took me to pick it up and bring it back to his house for our winter firepit indulgences. You'll see his firepit in the pics below.
Yes, it was super hot, but I believe, you gotta have a fire while chopping wood even in Florida!!

I chopped more but my final pic included more grass than wood (just imagine the pile is about 2.5 times what you can see).

    ALL done by hand!

I like seeing the Floridians post of wood!

It's so foreign of an idea to me that someone from Florida hoards.

    Good job!

I shouldn't be so jealous about his green grass (even though I am right now)
I burn most of the winter and I wouldn't trade that

Well, I have the most fantabulous lawn ever this year (in my dreams) It is multiple shades of green due to the multiple species of WEEDS. I think I can safely say, I doubt if I have an actual square foot total of actual lawn grass. At least it is mostly green with a few brown spots here and there. I mow the alleged lawn every week to keep the weeds at one uniform height!

And TripleF , Nice score and work!

I can't "like" brown lawns, other than the fact it will make it a lot easier to overseed in the early fall.

My Dad lived in FL for quite a few years before he died and he told me it rains pretty much every afternoon there.

Nice work TripleF! It's not easy to swing an axe and a sledge in the heat. But instead of a tree rat I think your more like a "maul" rat!
