    We don't really have trucks like that around here, why are there so many standards on that truck? What's the max legal weight on that truck? Seems like you could haul almost a whole other ton or two if you cut half of them off?

    I am a forester too? Granted in rural areas but even when I come to a city I don't see trucks with that many standards around here?

    So having a standard every 2 foot or whatever is the law?

    I have guys that have cut the last set of standards off their 40ft log trailers to reduce weight (full size tractor trailer, log trailer) leaving only three sets of uprights. Perfectly legal.

    there pine ,for shed and barn building projects ( see the thread in the sawyer section )we milled the pine and cut up the oak for firewoood ,i dont know about truck rules, but he shows up often and gives me free wood , i do know however that most everything is illegal in massachusetts and if its not it will cost you something :mad:

    I see it now. A white pine log on bottom closet to us?? I looked real quick and dint look close and assumed it all was oak.

    If I was you I'd cover up the door on my tree service guys truck who is my hook up before I covered my own plate. :rofl: :lol::doh:sorry I now pointed that out!!! Photoshop here he comes

    why ,i would be happy to help get them business ,they have 2 crane and 4 bucket truck crews out every day ,this guy goes and picks up the logs ,there were 4 pine and 6 oak in this load ,in case you did not see the sawyer section here are a couple pictures DSCN0123.JPG DSCN0174.JPG

    he was ,around here the wood has little value to the company ,the money is in the removals ,if you are willing to work its not hard to get wood ,i have never paid for any although i did give the driver a couple bottles of water and 2 ice cream cups

    Heck I'd give them a case of water per drop off. I'd slip them a $20 to drop it in my yard!!

    I'm surprised they don't keep it and make firewood and sell it too??
