100 soft maple blocks with a few left over white oaks that were layin around. Im gonna take them all before I tap into the red oak. It is sweltering hot here.
I'd think about getting an exclusive deal with the company to pick up the ends and start selling them.
Don't let the heat fool ya', it's hot out there. Gooder on ya' for getting all those. Now, go get some more. Dang the heat, full speed ahead.....with plenty of hydration.
Dang it man! I gots somewheres in the neighborhood of 20 cord sittin here CSS...and you makin me feel some real jealousy type feelins do you fully realize the extent of your suckage?! What a deal you got goin there! Plenty of water and Gatorade...and some for you good sir!
It really doesn't get better than your current set up. The only down side I can see it not getting to run my saws as much as I like. But, that wouldn't stop me from the sweet hookup you've got. Take everything you can get now and do everything in your power to stay on the good side with your supplier. If it were me, I would start with a bottle of Lagavulin 16. Me and Ron Swanson (a.k.a. Nick Offerman) can't be wrong.
Oh trust me he is hooking me up and I am hooking him up. He even gave me about 25 buetiful tomatoes today. His garden is unreal. Next week when I head over I'll ask him if he wouldn't mind if I took a pic of it.
Central casting screwed up big time! Somehow, they gave you my firewood dream! I can only hope this is corrected in my next life ...
You better keep the location of this honey hole top secret...word gets out where this is at and there will be FHC members buzzing around there like flys on a stink pile!
When I picked these up today and told him I was going to take all the soft maple he had at his place before I started getting the red oak he told me if I wanted anymore soft maple just to let him know. He would start bringing loads of that home. He said there mountains of it down at the mill so there is plenty of it to go around. I really don't know what he would charge for loads of it though. We have our own little deal worked out.
Too bad you don't have a loader or forklift...those blocks could be stacked on a pallet in the truck and then unloaded sweat free
you aint kiddin. I sweat balls today. it was like 87 here with so much humidity. brutal heat. I pounded out a lot of beers
Title says you guys made me do it........I had looked at the other threads and seems to me it didn't take much convincing
What a tease are you! You have created an army of green eyed monsters and you leave us with what? Nothing but a mystery! Well played. I could easily put the saw away for a couple years and just stack those cutoffs if given your situation. Enjoy the bounty and keep posting pictures.
