Worked this morning and tonight when the sun wasn't beating on me.(too bad). I managed to fill just about half of it. This half is my "good" wood, ash, oak, hard maple and some black locust. The other half will be shoulder season wood, soft maple, cherry and tulip poplar.
Those ends are mostly mill cut 4x6 chunks of oak. They make for fast ends, kinda like cheating! I really hate to burn them since they stack so nice but they are ready this year.
Got it filled up. Should be about 3 2/3 cords. Now I have to deal with the aftermath! I have to reorganize and get to stacking and splitting the new stuff.
Yes, the aftermath can look bad but once you get started, you can clean it up rather quickly. For sure you're going to like that shed, especially with the water you have to deal with at times there. Speaking of water, not sure what you got but we got over 3" over the weekend. Ground doesn't look like it but it was in the gauges and they don't lie unless someone pees in them...
