seems like a bullsh1t deal it need a new head maybe and crankshaft , and maybe and bearings , seals , and who know what else , and if need a carb the carb cost about 140 euros he leave a one year saw and he buy a new one ???
I'm feeling what pantelis is putting down. If that's the only issue, price does seem a little low. If in fact the seller is being honest, Shawn Carr can fix that right up. He's fixed a cylinder for me with wallowed muffler mounts, they turn out good as new.
I recomend to someone who want to buy a used saw to choice one of the saws that members sell here its more safety , and finally noones here ( member ) want to have bad name selling a bad saw and stay away from saws that have shiny plastics covers and low price
Could be worth it for someone with good saw wrenching skills. Beware alot of big stihls(and other brands also) get ran very hard by professionals and not always well maintained. There is a huge difference between a saw that has been owned by a guy who cuts 4 to 12 cords a year and a guy who uses it everyday to make a living. If the muffler bolts are stripped i bet other stuff is f%#$d up also.
