Birthdays coming up and my wife always has a hard time with gifts for me.

    "What do you want? "

    "Nothing"

    "Seriously, what do you want?"

"Nothing, all I need is you."

    Sound familiar?
So, this year when I said "nothing", she said "I'm getting you that chainsaw you've been drooling over."

I ran one once. It's just plain nasty. Same weight as the 441/442 but more power. Gotta love that.

    1) You need to replace the small saw with an MS241, MS261 and/or MS200T.
    2) Everyone NEEDS an MS461. 'nuff said. 'merica! Grunt, grunt, grunt... pound chest!

FWIW, I loved my stock MS461 and honestly, it was perfectly capable as is, but ever since Randy Evans put his juju on it... BEAST MODE! It runs a 32" bar with 63RS105 chain through hard oak and never bats an eye.

Hey you got a damm good saw my friend.... I thought long and hard before I bought mine.... I use it even more than I thought I would.... Mine is stock and will probably stay that way for awhile.... May get a dual port muffler for her, we will see...

One thing I noticed with this saw is the break in.... That saw will feel like a complete different saw after 10-15 tanks of fuel... The compression will go up and it will have even more torque.... You WILL love her!!'nnn

That's exactly how I feel, started with a used 290 hand me down, it saved me enough money in heating fuel plus some to help justify buying a 461.

It will also be a good reminder of how nice the 461 is when you cut with the 290 again. I feel like a could bake a cake waiting, then the 461 feels like a light saber.

Congrats. You will love it . My wife came home from town and said you need to get the groceries out of the car. As I opened the trunk, there was my brand new ms 461. I figure that's a once in a lifetime kind a thing.

If that happened to me, I would figure that the old lady was headed to her BF's house with his birthday present. So I'd just leave the saw and the grocery bag of steaks and lobstahs in the cah.

    Congrats on the new saw!!!!

Nice! Get an aftermarket muffler cover. $20 or less for an aftermarket and it will run like a whole different saw!
