Here's some stuff I cut today left from the tree company. I can't believe how well my 021 cut thru it. Most of the tree was 17-18" in diameter. Is this ash or aspen?

You have some nice rounds either way, I don't cut much Ash and its been a long time since I cut any Aspen so I'll stay out of this one.

Certainly not aspen. Is either ash or yellow (tulip) popple. The tulip popple is not in the same species as aspen; no comparison.

Bark looks like ash. Heartwood seams kinda dark but it's ash. Was the tree alive? Cause I've never cut live ash.

Pretty sure it was dead. Some of the smaller limbs were rotted.
