I need to buy everything from the stove collar up, for my 30-NC. About 6-7 feet of doublewall stovepipe, ceiling support for a cathedral ceiling, flashing, 6 ft of chimney, top cap. Also an outside air kit (might grow my own). Leaning towards Duravent, but Supervent, Selkirk, etc. are OK too. I can shop Lowes or Home Depot, or can buy online. Any suggestions as to the "best" place to buy all this? I obviouslywant good pricing, but good service counts for a lot. Who do you recommend? Second question - I have a "Tuff-Rib" style metal roof, any hints on flashing that? Slope is 4/12. I am leaning towards a rubber boot like this. Selkirk All-Fuel Chimney Universal Rubber Boot Flashing Kit Other thoughts welcome! Thanks in advance!
I will be visiting Menards tomorrow for the same purpose. Going to install a setup in the workshop of the garage and will start out with the flashing and pipe into the workshop for now....rest later on. I think I remember the flashing for a 4/12 pitch priced out at $25? Galavanized it was....They are running an 11% rebate right now.
piping https://www.northlineexpress.com/ flashing Square Base Flashing, Red Silicone | Metal Roof Pipe Flashing - Protechonline.net I've bought from both of these suppliers with very good results.
Check out what it would cost to ship it to you from Menards . There are good places online hopefully some others will chime in
I too have bought from Northline , I had a piece of pellet pipe that arrived dented and wouldn't fit together called them and they rush delivered a replacement also order a fire bowl from them , turns out the company discontinued that model they personally called me to let me know and offered a different model and honored my discount and free shipping from the 1st order and followed up with a 2nd call to let me know that it had shipped I highly rec theses guys .
I checked the flashing for a 4/14 6" class A vent this morning and it is $30. Home Depot does not have any in the store where I was. Online only for them.
Stainless Steel Chimney Liners, Caps, Covers & More I had good luck with this place and liked their service. I see they sell Selkirk but now also have their own brand aval. Don't know how their prices compare as I bought flex liner but they were good to work with.
I just go to amazon and order it. If it's going to ship from somewhere anyways. I would much rather hand pick the parts from a pile to be sure I get a good one so if, and that's a big if, it is available at a store then I would pay extra for that. I too have a permitted NC30 in my detached shop/barn/garage and am looking forward to another season with it.
I ordered from Northline Express, thanks for the recommendation. I found their web site helpful, and the prices were reasonable. I went with all DuraPlus, with DVL pipe.
If it means anything, I used Selkirk super pro. Have been real happy with it. Got it from Northline express. Used double wall chimney pipe. Being in the fire service for 37 years, I want more than 1 piece of 24 gauge pipe between my fire and my house. Chief
