Stihl MS360 question - purpose of brass grommet?

    What do the two brass grommets do that are in the flywheel half of the case? They are above the flywheel and go straight up into the area around the cylinder. My OEM crankcase has them but the AM crankcase doesn't.

    Anyone know?

    The cylinder cover has pegs that mount to those.
