I carry more for animals than I do for self defense.

One of my go-to spots is a nice 50 meter wide strip of trees coming out of a 1/4 section of bush, leading to another bush. My head was on a swivel looking for Yogi bear when I pulled a few loads out this spring. A 12 gauge with slugs n buck shot is a good security blanket.

Not on this side of the border lol. That'd probably be good enough to get three years in prison. That would be nice though to strap the Ruger Redhawk on.

Have a rottweiler or two with you. I'll bet most two or four foot critters will just keep moving to other prey. There is no way a rottweiler will allow his master, or his territory to be trespassed on without the blessing of the alfa.

.357 snubbie is the largest wrist breaker I have at the moment. And that's not even a wrist breaker. But it will deal with anything we have in this state! Wort we have here is the timid black bears. But there rare and only really occur on the coast and the moutains.

never been robbed, have been involved in an attempted robbery however, had the guy been carrying a gun I likely would have been robbed, his knife (that he attempted to rob me with) was simply not sufficient for him to defend himself with. he went to jail, I went back to the barracks

2 weekends ago an aquiantence pulled fired and dropped an assailant ( not that it matters but this w on w). Now my area is not friendly to self defense, double so if a firearm is involved due to an anti Mayor and DA and Police chief. I do not know all the details only a bit that refutes what was printed in the news rags. At any rate I heard he was charged with 2nd deg, manslaughter. So like I said before , stand up for yours and now you are the bad guy. The perp did have a record. One other little note: happened right in front of the local district police station.
