FYI, I just seen this weeks Menards ad, they have their bar oil on sale for $4.99 per gallon with a 11% rebate making it $4.44 per gallon. I have used the stuff quite a bit, not the stickiest stuff in the world, but not bad! Pretty good deal for anybody that lives around a Menards.

Best I've found it 'round here is 7.99 at Tractor Supply. IIRC, I've seen it on sale for 6.99 a couple times.

I usually buy quite a bit when I'm near a TS. If I saw it at 4.44, I'd buy 25 of 'em!!

Next time it's on sale somewhere around here I need to buy 2 or 3 gallons. No Menards. :(

Maybe I should go buy about a pallet of it and then set up a tent at the next Ohio GTG!
Oh, and they have a non-contact infrared themometer for $8.89 after rebate too. How many of those do we need? :D

That is exactly what I did about a decade ago. Bought 20 of them on sale, kept them stacked up in some milk crates all that time till I just recently finished them off.

I was out with the wife Monday and decided I'd head to Menards based on this thread. I've never been to a Menards and I'm about out of bar oil anyway.

I should have never taken my wife in that store. I would have grabbed 3 gallons of oil and left with 3 gallons of oil. But by the time we checked out our cart also had a new hall light, 3 pillows, a shower head, and some other odds and ends. A trip to save $15 ended up costing me $250, and on top of that the wife now has some "ideas" and wants to remodel the master bathroom!!!

OH NO! :picard: Sorry man! That happens though...they have enough of a variety of stuff that my wife likes to go in too...so yeah, often times you spend a lot more than you planned too :makeitrain" Heck, I can do that on my own there...sure don't need her help! :D
The big Ms motto is "save big money at Menards" but I usually seem to spend big money! Gotta say though...they do have some SMOKIN deals on stuff sometimes...and I usually don't buy stuff that I don't need or at least have been eyeing for a while...so I guess it all works out in the end. ;)

He will spend $2 for a $1 widget that he needs today. She will spend $1 on a $2 widget that she doesn't need but is on sale today.

Smokin deal. Wish we had a meynards. I always see folks posting good deals there.

If we had one I would be good for like 4 gallons!

I have 20 gallons of the older FVP stuff. Saw the newer stuff on sale so I bought two gallons to give it a shot.
