Thor my wife used to be that way. Several years ago we tried the Super Cedars and now she can start a fire too. The Super Cedars really take the puzzle out of lighting a fire, even if the wood is "less" than perfect.
My wife likes this a lot sir. She will be helping me setup a PayPal account. So we can order some with some swag as well. Is this possible. I just split this a couple of days ago. Now hold up Thor - Did you split that a few days ago, AND then you tested it today, or did you split it a few days ago and then RESPLIT it right before you tested it? That's the trick with a MM....fresh split face gives most accurate results. Days old splits will give up some subsurface moisture and could give a false indication.
That is not cheating, just working smart. I do that all the time. Makes the crotch easier to split with my Speeco.
Thor I know you did not cut this wood as you know better but some folks don't. I've taken the privledge to draw a red line where I'd have cut those logs when limbing and bucking them. It surely saves a lot of work, the log splits better and the stacking is much, much easier. Besides, that is then one less ugly you have to mess with. I just posted this for others to see as we've posted about this in the past and I intended to take some pictures last winter but neglected to do so. Why? I just remembered it when looking at these pictures, so thanks for jogging my memory.
