We had some storms blow through last week, so I started watching Craigslist. A young couple in Niles Michigan had a neighbors red oak come down in their yard. It was just the top, but I think I can get a cord out of it. The main trunk was still in the neighbors yard after the tree service took it off the house. I am trying to get those logs also. They are aprox. 25-26" in diameter and there were 10, 4 foot sections! I doubt he has a saw big enough to cut them. The couple I cut for said when hey saw him they would give him my #.

The picture of the truck was the last load out. There was some creative stacking going on. I was ready to get home, shower, and drink some sweet tea.

You got your self a good load of oak that's for sure. It is like winning the lottery, not the big one, but a winner just the same!

Nice score! Don't be afraid to knock on the neighbors door and offer cleaning it up for him. Even offer css some of it for payment and a thank you. Its worked out in my favor many times. Worst you can get is a no.

Guy was staying somewhere else since his roof had a slight dent in it, lol. The neighbors said they would talk to him when they saw him again.
