So I watched the first season of this show and now its in the second season. Its episode 9 I am watching. Its a show on DIY network. It has 3 builders building a cabin and last yr just followed one guy.

So one builder near the lake, Lee is trying to dig post holes. Its hard cause of Tue frost and there not getting anywhere so out he pulls his CHAINSAW and buries the bar in the dirt all the way to the power head!!! It looked like an 026 or 036!! The chain cover was plugging with dirt!! All I can think about is the clutch and the bearing the bar and poor chain!!

I was watching it when he put the stove in the place. He's tearing the baffle/secondary stuff out explaining how you just can't get good heat with that in there.

I always wonder how fake the reality shows are -- -but you just can't make that chit up.

Ive watched some of those shows Im not sure which one it was but there was a guy in Alaska that ran out of wood so he went out and cut some more like it was no big deal. I told my wife to turn it off this is either fake or they found the stupidest people in Alaska. I felt like they were giving guys like Bogeydave a bad name.

That could of either been "life below zero" or "Alaska the last frontier" or "mountain men" or "Yukon men" . Pretty sure they have done that on each of those shows. Yep I love my TV especially Alaska shows . Some are fake but I still watch. I still watch ax men although it is one of the fakest out now. But its an OCD thing that I want to watch a show if I start it.

That's not reality tv that's real life for a lot of people. Find some standing dead or downed wood, cut it, split it and put it in the old smoke dragon. That happens daily around here.

Who wants to watch a show about responsible, successful people? Most would much rather watch somebody make a fool of themselves as it makes them feel better about their own shortcomings.

I'm pretty selective in what I watch anymore. One, I have less and less time these days, could be this damm forum addiction I've got going.:emb: And two, I have less and less interest. I have equipment to fix, saws to mod/sharpen/run. And most importantly, wood to process!

I will admit I enjoy watching Thomas the Tank Engine with my 2yo son. Now there's some real drama for ya.:D

The biggest problem with these shows is people take them for reality and in turn put these horrible dangerous practices to work in their home thus endangering their own family friends and neighbors.

If it's on TV, it must be real, just like the internet !

My three month old loves watching the TV. We have been tuning on Dora. Every so often for him. I like Swiper :) I think it would be a lot better show if it weren't for all the "Spanish lingo mixed in"!!
