Hey gang, down here in south jersey we had some real bad micro bursts/thunderstorms on Wednesday. Some places claim they got a tornado, at any rate I'm able to score some nice oak from it, my buddy and I are going back to the effected town and knock on doors.
This is a truck load I got last night, I'm sure we'll be able to fill up many times!
The ground has been saturated so a lot of nice trees came down sadly.

We had the same system. I went to a friends house Wednesday morning to cut a large maple limb off his porch roof. Didn't do much damage except the gutter got bent a little. They were some wild storms. I think we had a confirmed tornado about 40 minutes from here. Not too many trees effected that I saw. It was very isolated where damage occurred. Hopefully you get some more loads out of it.

Good score..... I was watching that storm, it just clipped us on its northern edge, but exploded as it continued east. That was the same system that slammed Michigan earlier in the week.

Nice pick up from the aftermath... Glad you all made it through it fine. We had a microburst a few miles down from us about 5 or 6 years ago. I got quite a bit of Oak from it too.

Mid state area doesn't seem to have gotten it? I was away at Cape Cod on Wed until midnight or so. No evidence of storm damage at the house, and nothing came through the Cape either.

Here is the last load today!!! I forgot to snap the pic in the truck. Yea Dave, my back is killing me,:( I'm going to get Vicoden, Beer and Shower in that order! If I had the time off of work, and I'm not doing "CRAP" tomorrow, there is about 40 or 50 Oaks, Maples and Locus that are just ready to be cut up. I was given permission to take at least 20+ trees,:eek:o_O:headbang: I just don't have the time and space for them. I did call a group of Vet's that help folks in need for wood and gave them some of my share. :handshake::) Maybe we can help some needy folks! I really don't need but about 4 cord to bring me back to about 12 cord, I got a good cord and a half so far I'm guessing.

Also you take it easy and don't kill yourself in the heat. Nothing is worth that. You want to retire and get out of the rat race.

Twisted the tops off of a double trunked cottonwood out back, and dropped them straight down. Right in the middle of the back yard, only one affected. Odd. Of course, I slept right through it.

I buy .5% permethrin solution by the gallon, with sprayer. All shirts/jeans worn in the woods get dosed, around arm/ankle/waist openings. What ticks? Seriously. Spray it on clothing & let it dry. Good for 6 washings, so they say. They're there in the woods where I work, but they leave me alone.

For sure, keep those dang ticks at bay at all cost. I had one bullseye on me last year and had to get a big ol needle in my butt cheek! :( Thank god I didn't get limes! Oh ya and sweet oak score brother!
