Okay, I have a cement driveway so why do I have to mow it Yes, I usually use Roundup or something like that to kill the grass and weeds in the cracks. It just seems like this year it is growing so very good in the cracks, in the last couple of weeks it has shot up like crazy and the other day I was out mowing and said to myself geez, I have to mow my driveway I just wish I could kill that crap forever Anyway I was thinking I have over a gallon mixed gas I want to get rid of, thinking maybe put it in a gear oil bottle squirt it cracks and light it on fire or maybe, I should just squirt it in the cracks and leave it there? Y'all have any better ideas killing this stuff and keeping it gone?
Even the asphalt road has some cracks in it and down at the other end where it's well-traveled there is weeds and grass growing in the cracks. How can that be
Them weeds are stubborn and good at growing where one would never expect.... Given time and at least water, they slowly break open the cracks a little at a time, making more room for their buddies. Kill 'em with fire or chemicals, or some natural, holistic concoction, if you must.
Dump the gas, then light.... then dump again and leave it... can't hurt to mix the gas with old motor oil for extra toxic action..... weeds are like electronics, let the smoke out and they'll never work again.
Oh yeah I like running that new mower it works great has great power, Cuts right through whatever, Maybe I should just put in a ceement pond
Roundup extended control formula. Dead and things stay dead for months. 1 or two apps a year and you'll have nothing but wasteland....
Pour a little diesel along those cracks. Works great. I found out the hard way. I had a rusted fuel line on the Dodge. It broke through last year while it was sitting in the front yard. Still have a nice round bare spot where it killed the grass.
X2. You need something like this with residual effects. Save the gas and oil for your tools with motors.
What is the percentage of active ingredient? That is often overlooked. I don't buy ready to spray stuff anymore due to paying mostly for water. I buy gallons of 60% Triclopyr online and mix my own cocktail of doom.
Photo is for reference only, actual product may vary. Some assembly required. Adult supervision recommended. Batteries not included. Please allow 4-6 weeks for shipping/handling. They make it in the super concentrated versions too.
Crack control joints...or cuts? I have the weeds and grass that always seems to volunteer their services in my driveway cuts/joints so I take it down flush with the concrete using the weedeater and then spray it with a residual spray like MasterMech posted above (I like Ground Clear myself) that will usually take care of the issue for the summer. Now then, why is it that my grass will grow on the concrete and not out in the yard!?
Get the dirt and grass out of the expansion joints and fill them with self-leveling Sika Flex The stuff is incredible! and a little pricey. But it works.
Yep, started with the weed wacker at it some today but the batteries are not fully charged, the cordless weed Wacker I bought was just delivered yesterday, I could go get the gas one out but I want to put this cordless whacker to the test and see how it does. I think I'm going to like it for light work around the yard, it's real light weight, I can just Pop a battery in and go, got a little blower with it too, that works better than I expected, I needed a light easy to grab blower for the driveway and deck, because only one I have now that works is a Backpack Blower
That's a pretty good idea I might do that after I blast it with the pressure washer,, I blasted them out a few years ago with the pressure washer but it doesn't last that long they fill up pretty fast with more dirt n stuff
