I am very happy for you. You were missed. Glad you found a direction. I tried to get PT, but they won't have me. Said they can't offer anything I can't do on my own. So I go to the YMCA and spend 45 min. in the pool x3 weekly doing a repetitive routine. It keeps my muscles strong. I have to loose about 80 lbs before they will do corrective surgery. To be painfully honest, I have to do better with food choices. Not just portion control, but control of snacks etc. Anyway, back to you, congratulations and may you continue on your road to recovery from pain and being overweight.

I never read the book she just informed me more pain was involved until things started getting better. I think I might have cried the first week. She took no pity, just kept saying I told you so. Also traction is awesome.

Thanks Larry. So far so good. One of the guys reminds me "baby steps" every time he sees me. Seems to be working... sitting here right now, after a long day, lower back is fine. Shoulders, arms, ankles... that's another story...

After knee surgery the physical therapy hurt like hell but did a lot of good,
Physical therapy for the osteoarthritis in my neck, different story, didn't do any good, finally got a couple of shots, did the trick, still bothers me a little bit sometimes but no pain like It was then.
Been using the inversion table a few times in the last month it helps some for the back., doesn't do my sinuses any good though

This is awesome! Makes me feel like we're really doing something here at this site. Motivation, charity, words of encouragement.....it's what I love about this place and always have. Man, I'm proud of you guys and gals. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Stinny I'd love to come see you guys play. Who knows, I may just sneak into a venue sometime and surprise the chit right out of ya.....

That would be a lot of fun Scotty Overkill As I've said to you before, you're always welcome at our house. Thank you for the kind words. And, you're right... this "home" we have here on FHC is more than just a place to read about firewood stuff... it's like sitting around a big fire pit and shooting the chit with family. Doesn't get any better, anywhere else on line. You and all of the mods should grin a lot with what you started here.

Find a date he's playing that works with a handful of us and me and Mrs. Overkill will make the trip. Dead serious.

This gives me the reason to get out for a long weekend and spend it with great people!!

Hehehe... I will show this to the guys this Thursday. They'll get a hoot out of it. It would be fun. Not sure how many gigs we'll ever do outside of the cave this time around... maybe it would be a good chance to do a G2G here... get the saws rockin first during the day and then music later. I'm talkin' waaaaaaaay outa turn with that thought. Would have to get the queen's blessing first. She still thinks all of us on here are nuts...  Not to mention... would have to get our 6-8 neighbors onboard too. Hmmmmm...

Thinking August is the only chance it could happen. All of the outdoor things we've done around 18-20 Aug... the weather can be really nice that time of year. No guarantees... it's Maine so it can all change in minutes too.
